The award distribution ceremony for the Painting Competition on “Migratory Birds of Pallikaranai” organized by CETAAC concluded with a function early in the morning on Feb 26th, 2022 (Saturday) at Pallikaranai Ecopark .The occasion was graced by Mrs. V Priyadarshini, District Forest Officer, along with team of TN District Forest Range officers and Rangers. A good number of students along with their parents and the members from CETAAC were present.The DFO explained the importance of this ecosystem and the need for sustainable effort to preserve the wetland. Biju Abraham Thomas (President, CETAAC) and a few members from nearly seventy attendees shared their experiences on the wetlands, its flora and fauna. Certificates were distributed to all the winners. The participants were taken around the facility and skilled rangers introduced them to interesting facts about the marshland and migratory birds, around it.We once again thank all the schools in Chennai, students, parents, teachers and all the volunteers for your effort for very good participation and entries.
